Off-white or cream left side

1966 - 1970 · Contains pamphlet Type 7

Hard Cover Type HCN is distinguished by the Boy Scout in long pants and a long-sleeve shirt with a garrison cap on and his arms at his sides. The left side of the cover is either a dirty white or a cream color and the right side red, with the words BOY SCOUTS of AMERICA in capital letters except for "of," which is lower case, all in black like the title. Like earlier covers, HCN covers are found in shades from off-white to a more cream color, but these are not distinct enough to classify as variations. Only Type 7 pamphlets are found in HCN hard covers.
