E Merit Badges known as the Kahaki narrow crimped badges were
produced and available from 1946 thru 1959. The Type E Merit
Badge, while similar in many ways to it's predecessor Type C and
Type D Merit Badges, are differentiated by it's darker green
kahki fabric. The Type E and Type C Merit Badges are on a
similarily thicker fabric than the Type D Merit Badges.
Type E Merit Badges are much less common than Type C and Type D
Merit Badges and are often mistaken for each other. Check
with a Merit Badge expert before identifying a merit badge as a
Type C, Type D, or Type E.
