Type 10D merit badge pamphlets
were produced starting in 2015. They are less easily
identified as previous colored covers. The only
real change is subtle, and that is the space between the
bottom blue and the thin blue line above. Previously
this space was white, however this new change shows the
space has been changed to gray or silverish. This same
gray line appears in the top border as well.
There are a few titles that have
obvious quality check issues as they will have one white
line and one gray line. These are still considered
10D and will be shown as a variation here. They appear
to be limited to the first printing of the new 10D
format and are usually corrected at some point in later
Eagle-required merit badges do
not show this line color difference and still remain
white between the grayish-silver instead of blue.
Eagle-required merit badge pamphlets identified as 10D
have a significant back cover design change, which will
be better spelled out in the future.
